Nomenclatural information from the Zingiberaceae Database

The Zingiberaceae Database aims to provide nomenclatural and specimen information relating to the ginger family. This page gives you access to the nomenclatural parts of the data base. All data have been entered by hand following data standards adopted by TDWG. The main standards are Brummitt & Powell, Authors of Plant Names, RBG Kew for authors, Stafleu & Cowan, Taxonomic Literature, ed. 2, Regnum Vegetabile, Utrecht for abbreviated names of books, and Botanico-Periodicum-Huntianum (B-P-H), Pittsburgh for abbreviated names of periodicals.

New users are advised to read the page on the scope and format of the data.
