Literature Search

The Missouri Botanical Garden has an excellent Bryology section on their website which includes a number of useful databases. One is the W3MOST Bibliography which is an online database that contains the entries for the Recent Literature on Mosses and Recent Literature on Hepatics projects. This contains similar information to that contained in the the sections on Recent Bryological Literature that appear in the Journal of Bryology.

A keyword or the surname of the main author is entered, and the results are returned in a standard format. The site is often a little slow, and users from the UK may prefer to use it in the early part of the day when most US bryologists are fast asleep.
