Standards: International Transfer Format (ITF)
Adopted in 1987 as TDWG Standard #1.
A mechanism by which holders of living material can exchange information with one another about those collections.
- fixed-length field format (362 bytes/record)
- designed for transfer of information, not for storage of information.
BG-BASE is compatible with the 33 fields specified in ITF. The table below shows the database table and field used for each of the ITF fields.
