Uses in Scotland
Tree mallow grows on Bass Rock and other East Lothian
cliff sites, and is also recorded from Ailsa Craig in the Clyde. It was
probably introduced by early monks or lighthouse keepers, and is thought
to have been used for poultices and in the preparation of ointments to heal
burns.
