Celtica - Scotland 2000's travelling exhibition, exploring the relationship
between Scottish people and their native flora (present and past), finished
touring the country in June 2002. During two years on the on the road
it was visited by tens of thousands of people. Locations included
Edinburgh, Cowal Peninsula, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Kilmartin, Dumfries, Stranraer,
Inverness, Kirkaldy, Thurso, Gairloch, St Andrews, Jedburgh and Dunfermline.
The exhibition included artefacts, images, interactive displays, films
(animations by Red Kite Productions) and audio recordings of people from
across Scotland talking about their relationship with plants.
Although the main body of the
exhibition has been dispersed, the 12 double-sided information panels
are available for display at suitable venues on request.
